Buy a Truck, Get an AK-47!

If you ever wonder what’s wrong with America, look no further than Missouri.

Not the state itself… but a truck dealer there.

Mark Muller owns Max Motors, a dealer offering GM, Chrysler, and Ford vehicles. For a limited time, buy a truck from them get a free AK-47.

Yup, a real assault rifle to go with your brand-new pickup truck.

This guy’s motto for his dealership is: God, Guns, Guts, and American Pickup Trucks. Their logo is a cartoon cowboy waving two handguns in front of an American flag.

Good ol’ fashioned American values. If you’ve ever seen the rodeo scene from the movie “Borat,” you know exactly the type of guy Mr. Mueller is. (A video of him defending the program is below.)

I wonder, though, if he knows the AK-47 is Soviet-made? Seems to go against his value system, if you ask me – giving away a communist-era weapon on the basis of being good ol’ God-fearin’ Republican Midwesterners. But hey, whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Regardless, Missouri truck buyers are bound to buy into the promotion and make it a sharp-shootin’ success. It’ll probably even pave the way for the next promotion: A free North Korean-made nuclear warhead with every truck purchase.

And why not, we’ve got to defend ourselves, right?

  1. Shootnow Asklater: I certainly don’t think firearms are only found in the hands of criminals. There’s a lot of brain-death white trash firerarm fetishists as well.

BTW, I’ll buy a truck if I get a free nuke. Just sayin’.

  2. Umm… AK’s are made in about a bazillion countries, and aren’t necessarily “Russian” made. Nice try at a flimsy point, however.

And the “ever wonder what’s wrong with America” comment really belies exactly what IS wrong with America, at times: elitist snobs that believe that the only place firearms can be found is in a movie. Or a criminal’s hands. Or in a criminal’s hands in a movie. Sheesh.

Gotta run – I’m going to take my 12 ga. shotgun full of birdshot and go hold up the Quick Stop now. I can’t roll my eyes back in my head far enough.
